UA Government Relations connects our university to members of Congress, the executive branch, and national education organizations. As the world鈥檚 leading arctic research institution, UA engages in numerous partnerships with federal research agencies and the military. To maintain the university's pre-eminence in arctic research, we inform policymakers about UA鈥檚 role as an engine for scientific discovery and innovation. We work closely with Alaska鈥檚 congressional delegation to represent UA鈥檚 funding interests and policy goals in Washington D.C.
